Turkey Goes Big with InstanBlock 2020 Leading National Blockchain Week

2019 saw the blockchain development space in Turkey gaining momentum with the launch of the Istanbul Blockchain and Innovation Center (BlockchainIST Center) in August as well as announcements regarding a national framework and regulatory sandbox.

With the new year comes IstanBlock 2020 which takes place April 9–10 and will be the flagship event of Istanbul Blockchain Week, running April 6–10. The event is poised to be one of the year’s largest with over 2000 attendees are expected to attend at the Hilton Bomonti Hotel.

In their December 25th press release, InstanBlock 2020 elaborated on what to look forward to at the conference stating IstanBlock 2020, “provides projects with an exciting opportunity to build a presence in the new hotbed for cryptocurrency and blockchain. For Turkish projects, the event will build strategic partnerships with leading international projects, provide global media exposure and create jobs for the Turkish community that is looking to work in the blockchain industry.”

2020 holds much promise for blockchain applications.

The agenda covers the space’s biggest topics heading into 2020 including DeFi, derivatives, regulations, gaming and institutional adoption. Attendees can look forward to breakout workshops, round tables and leading voices including Ivan Liljeqvist of Ivan On Tech; Ran NeuNer of CNBC; and Nicholas Merten of DataDash.

2020 is poised to be a breakout year for user friendly applications and more product market fits being confirmed. Turkey appears poised to make many contributions to the new year’s development.
